Your 2026 self will thank you for this.

Last week, I got a message from a 1:1 client that genuinely made me think, “wow LinkedIn is life changing”. 

And, as a hardcore LinkedIn lover - you know that’s big.

I started working with this client in September.

At the time, she was about to shut down her business.
Hadn’t paid herself in nearly two years.
Completely invisible online.

Although her business was failing, she chose to build her personal brand anyway.

Not because it was easy or she had “ the time”, but because she knew it would protect her future.

Whether that was finding a new job or launching a new business from scratch.

Because a strong personal brand doesn’t just look good.

It opens doors.
Attracts opportunities.
Makes raising money easier.
Helps customers trust you faster.

And ultimately? It gives you options when things fall apart.

That’s the part people underestimate.

Fast forward to the beginning of this month…

After 2 months of working together.

She’s gone viral twice.
She’s signed £42,000 worth of clients directly from LinkedIn.
But most importantly, she is no longer closing down her business. 

And no, she didn’t suddenly become louder or pushier online.

She got visible with intention.

Clear positioning.
A message people actually understood.
A profile that did the selling before the call.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth I see every day:

If you’re not showing up online, you’re not being “humble” or “waiting for the right time”.

You’re leaving money on the table and letting competitors take work and opportunities that could be yours.

Followers aren’t the goal.
Getting paid is.

And staying stuck, quietly watching opportunities pass you by, is way scarier than investing in yourself.

When I asked this 1:1 client “If a friend asked what I helped you achieve, what would you say?”

Her response was: “You saved our company”.

For me (and her) it doesn’t get much better than that.

And, the same thing could happen to you.
All you need to do is start posting with intention.
