The year that changed everything.

A grateful note, one big lesson, and no action required.

Yesterday was my birthday.

And, for the first time in a long time I didn’t dread it.
Instead, I woke up feeling overwhelmingly grateful.

Grateful for where I am.
Grateful for my amazing family & friends.
Grateful for the people I get to work with.
Grateful for this little corner of the internet we’re building together.
Grateful for the person I am becoming.

Me and my papa on my birthday ❤️

This time last year, my life looked very different.

For a number of reasons.

My birthday is always a huge period of reflection.

Not only am I one year older, but it’s so close to Christmas and the New Year that I’m forced to look back and see how far (or not-far) I’ve come.

For the past couple of years, I’ve been a little disappointed with what that looked like.

Last year for example…
I was showing up online consistently but making very little money from it.
Spending so much time on LinkedIn. Chasing vanity numbers.
Wondering if any of it was actually “working”.

Fast forward to now.

LinkedIn is the reason I’ve built a real business.

Clients. Courses. Opportunities. Income.
Not because I suddenly went viral.
Not because I had thousands more followers.

But because I learned how to show up properly.

With clarity.
With intention.
With a message people actually understood.

That’s been my biggest professional lesson of this year:

You don’t need a huge audience.
You don’t need to wait until you feel “ready”.
You don’t need permission.

You can start now.

Exactly where you are.

And that’s why my mission going into the next year is simple:

To help more people stop treating LinkedIn like a performance…
and start using it as the tool it actually is - to build confidence, visibility, and a business that supports your life.

Before we rush into New Year goals, resets and resolutions, I just want to say this.

Thank you.

For reading.
For replying.
For trusting me.
For showing up, even when it feels uncomfortable.

This community means more to me than you probably realise.

And now, your one tiny thing for this week (and possibly the best advice I can give you):

LOG. THE. HELL. OFF.
Enjoy Christmas if you celebrate.
Eat the chocolate.
Have the extra drink.
Take the break.

It’s one of the only times of year LinkedIn genuinely goes quiet so grab it with both hands.

I’ll see you on the other side, rested, full of ideas, and ready for what’s next 🤍

Mischa x
