Me. You. Today. 5pm. Ready?

Hey you,

I know, I know, it's been a while since you've heard from me. I'm sorry.

To be totally honest, I'm moving from Beehiiv to Substack (all to be revealed next week) so I've been taking time to learn more about that platform.

But before then, there was something I had to share with you.

Look.

I spend nearly all day, every day on LinkedIn.
Consuming LinkedIn post after LinkedIn post.

Most of the posts are good. They are well written. Grammatically correct.
But they get about 5 likes and I'm guessing 200-300 impressions.

This is because you're writing on LinkedIn like you were taught to write at school.

Long sentences.
Formal language.
Words like "nevertheless" and "henceforth."

That writing sounds right in a work email but not on LinkedIn.

This platform has completely different rules.

What works in a client report does not work here.
What works in a TikTok caption does not work here.
What works in an Instagram carousel does not work here.

This platform has its own logic.

And once you understand it, everything changes.

Your impressions go up.
Your engagement goes up.
The right people start noticing you.

Posts that used to get 200 impressions start getting 20,000. You start getting DMs, connection requests, and inbound leads from people who found you through your content.
