Make LinkedIn a Non-Negotiable.

Building a personal brand takes time but these simple habits will help you stay consistent.

A little something from me 🌟

Welcome back to Become Your PB.

I have to admit, since launching this newsletter three weeks ago, I haven’t been very consistent. In fact, with a hen do or wedding every other weekend, I haven’t been very consistent with anything.

Yes, I’ve still shown up on LinkedIn almost daily but I’ve had zero prepped posts, I haven’t stuck to a posting schedule, and I’ve been ignoring my own strategy…

All things I preach 24/7 about not doing.

But things are about to change. This newsletter will now land in your inbox every Wednesday (guaranteed), and I’ll be showing up on LinkedIn every day with posts I’m proud of.

This is my promise to you. Hold me accountable.

P.S. If you don’t follow me on LinkedIn, find me here.

What to expect đź‘€

In this weeks newsletter, you’re getting 3 things:

  1. How to show up on LinkedIn every day with purpose

  2. LinkedIn banner inspiration

  3. A moment of motivation

Let’s go…

1. How to make LinkedIn a non-negotiable 🤝

I’ve spoken to hundreds of founders over the past year, and 90% of them struggle with the same thing.

It’s the same thing I’ve been struggling with recently…

Staying accountable.

You want to build a personal brand, but you convince yourself you don’t have the time.

I get it, we have a million things to do and LinkedIn is the first thing to drop. But trust me, if you don’t prioritise it → it won’t happen.

Here’s what I’m doing (and what you should do) to stay consistent:

âś… Break things down into small tasks and time-block your calendar

→ Time block for ideation, sourcing inspiration, writing content, creating visuals, scheduling (if needed), and engagement
→ Keep these blocks separate because it makes the process more manageable
→ Treat these calendar blocks like important meetings you can’t miss

âś… Use simple systems to set yourself up for success

→ Choose three content pillars and rotate between them when creating posts
→ These pillars should align with your ideal audience and their pain points
→ Alternate between educational and storytelling content

âś… Repurpose the conversations that you’re already having

→ Use real-life conversations as inspiration for content
→ Sales calls, founder updates, and investor questions can all become posts
→ Solve real questions and address real pain points

âś… Admit when you need help

→ Don’t try to do everything yourself, you’ll just burn out
→ Hire support (ghostwriters, graphic designers, videographers)
→ If you can’t do it to a high standard, bring in someone who can

There is no shame in asking for help. In fact, I’ve just hired a graphic designer to elevate my content. What takes me days on Canva, takes them 2 hours. Anything that gets my time back = a no brainer.

If you need help with LinkedIn content, reply to this email saying “HELP” — let’s talk!

2. LinkedIn banners I’m loving 💙

  • Add social proof to your banner to legitimise your services and add credibility

  • Logos, clients faces, the number of people you’ve helped or a short quote

  • Choose your colours wisely — they should stand out & appeal to your audience

  • Do your market research and choose different colours to your competitors

  • Don’t be afraid to get playful with the design and language used in your banner

  • Your banner is another opportunity to show your personality

3. This is your reminder…

Look, the truth is…

You can do anything you want in life, you just need to focus on the right things. Unfortunately, 99% of people focus on the wrong things. That’s why they stay stuck, unhappy, or unsatisfied.

The first step is admitting what you truly want.
Not what’s “achievable.” Not what’s “realistic.”
But what you want deep down if there were no limits.

Once you’re clear on that, reverse-engineer it.

What do you need to do tomorrow? Next month? In a year? In five years?

Break that big, long-term, even slightly crazy goal down into small, manageable steps and suddenly, it all becomes a lot more doable.

If you aren’t already following me on LinkedIn…
